A large proportion of the women of Manman Troll network belong to families without any regular income, and an important goal for Project Haiti is to help as many of the women as possible to obtain a steady income.
A significant means to reach this goal is development of work related skills. Manman Troll runs a sewing school where the women learn to make clothes and other textile products. Further, hairdressing courses have been held, led by Project Haiti volunteer Åse Midtveit from Hamar, Norway. Manman Troll aims to repeat this course, as well as initiating other forms of work skill education. In addition, Manman Troll holds seminars and courses in entrepreneurship and administration of businesses. Norad has contributed to the financing of Manman Troll since 2008.
